*ประเทศออสเตรเลีย เรียก High School จาก Year 7 ถึง Year 12
*ประเทศนิวซีแลนด์ เรียก Secondary School จาก Year 9 ถึง Year 13 ดูแลโดย NCEA (National Certificate of Educational Achievement) เป็น School Certificate, Sixth form บางโรงเรียนให้เลือกสอบ IGCSE/A-levels (Cambridge Exams) หรือ IB (International Baccalaureate Diploma)
*ประเทศอังกฤษและเวลส์ Secondary School สำหรับเด็ก อายุ 11-16 /18 ประกอบด้วย key stage 3 และ key stage 4 และ National Curriculum year 7 ถึง year 11 เป็นหลักสูตรภาคบังตับ จบอายุ 16 จะเรียนต่อที่โรงเรียนเป็น School Certificate/Sixth form) บางโรงเรียนบังคับให้สอบ GCSE in ICT A-levels ตามวิชาที่กำหนดสอบ บ้างก็สอบ International Baccalaureate (IB)

GCSE (General Certificate of Secondary Education) คือ การสอบวัดผลระดับ Secondary Education อายุ 14 -16 สอบที่โรงเรียน หรือสถานที่ที่จัดสอบ และ IGCSE สอบที่ไหนก็ได้ทั่วโลก

IB / IBDP (International Baccalaureate Diploma Program) ระยะเวลาเรียน 2 ปี อายุ 16-19 หลักสูตรที่จัดมีมากเป็นที่ยอมรับในคุณภาพเพื่อการศึกษาต่อมหาวิทยาลัย ทั่วโลก

มหาวิทยาลัย (University) คือ การเรียนระดับ tertiary / post secondary / higher education เป็นสถาบันการศึกษาและงานวิจัย
