Torquay on the English Riviera in Devon, the birthplace and former home of the crime-writer Agatha Christie is one of England’s warmest and most beautiful seaside resorts. Not just a traditional English holiday town, but also an international yachting centre. It’s steeped in history.
Torquay International School (TIS) was founded in 1972, close to the town centre and 15 minutes walk from the habour and yachting marina. There are usually 20-30 nationalities here and 60 to 100 students.
